A lot of us (especially some of us who are away from India) complain about
lack of books on Indian Epics, and information we can use to teach our
kids about our heritage, culture and religion to certain extent.
Professor H.R.Chandrasekhar has answered all of that with "Tales
of Indian Epics".
Sri.
Holalkere Chandrasekhar is a Professor of Physics and
the Director of Graduate Studies Department of Physics
and Astronomy at University of Missouri-Columbia. He
was profoundly influenced by the great epics of
India during his childhood years and beyond. He shared
them with his children by suitably adapting to the new
world yet keeping the essentials intact.

The book (306 pages) has
29 stories and dozens of illustrations. The epics
range from Nala-damayanti to Shiva-Parvati to Valmiki
and many more. The exciting book is a great experience
both for children and adults. The book has received
excellent response and a lot of People are coming back for
seconds and thirds to give as wedding-gifts, graduation presents and as
holiday gifts.
