session.  The in-thing to do in the pubs esp. by young people

famous when you go to free Luncheon in a star hotel
 

   9.  Kuiey : A Boring session. "Meeting nalli blade haki sakkath
kuieydhru..."

   10. Saaru : An informal greeting. opp. of Sir which is mark of
respect.  "Namaskara Saar ge"

   11. Sustu : Tired or, when you are Dazed. "Aa piece nodithere  neenu
sustu aagbidtheya"

   12. Burudae : Lie. also referred as 'Reel' or 'Rail' eg. "Nin burudae
keli keli sustu aaythu

   13. Dani : Boss. "Promotion sigle antha namma Danige sakkath benne
haktha idene"

   14. Oollu : - Same as Burude( Upendra's contribution)

   15. Tufree:- famous past time or hangout for Students who fag.

roaf/awaz hakodu:  say it in a loud voice.....to threaten

Batti / Naradana Kelasa (Piturie) – To be used to describe people who do kirik in others business and mess up the set up. Eg: “Avanu baari batti eedoo kelasa maadtaane. Hushar aagiru.” 

Loose Palti : Person who is kind of insane. 

KMF - kivi mele flower: same as Kivege Huvvu 

KMCF - kivi mele cauli flower: same as Kivege Huvvu 

ninna ajji : used to scold others mildly. it can also be used in
conjunction with punta.
eg: "ninna ajji le, ninu bhayankare panta lo"

sheddu - yuck!

gaanchaali - sumne gaanchaali maadabeda (kirik, arrogance)

gamaara - also known as vadda (not so cultured)

beat hodi - generally wander, or go around the town

mitukaladi, chellu chellu - aa hudugi tumba
chellchellu 

chamda suli, kaalu muridhu kaige kodu - same as
bendeththu

gantu beelu, behabe(short for bennu haththidha betala)

nona/ solle hodi - being jobless

kai kodu - to let down some body.

tent haaku - to impose oneself at somebody's place

pataalam - ootakke karedhare poora pataalam haajar.
 

bajaari, gandu beeri, beedhi basavi

thindi potha - one who eats cosisitently

theertha - alcohol

mangalarathi maadu, bootha bidisu - to take someone to task

maneyalli heli bandhillava?- typically said when a
person runs across the road and misses getting hit by
a vehicle.

arachu - scream eg: adhu yaake kanta haridhu hoguva
haage arachuththiruve?

nataraja service - walking

hallu kisi - smile

pekara - same as pyaadhe

paavu, seru, chataaku - generally referred to kids of
different ages in a household.
 

Guruge tirumantra - To revolt against the leader - Eno doddonu

aagbittidya, guruge tirumantraa haktya?

Pad - a dumb guy - pad nan maga kano avanu.

goofa - a dumb guy - goofa, tale ilveno ninage

sketch - to plan something strategically -  avanahattira hushaaragiru,

full sketch party.

scheme - same as sketch - enamma, aa hudugina pataysakke en scheme haakidya?

tight - intoxicated with alcohol -  en guru, full tightaa?

gundu - alcohol

yenne - alcohol

tirtha - alcohol

rollcall - hafta collection, enamma ee areanalli nindena rollcall!

Dubak : Being Cheated
Lo maga Dubak Hakda Kano Avnu.

Dukku : Dumb Person
Lo magne yako Dukku Thara Adtheeya.

Gitch (Used in North Karnataka) - Superb
Ex : Bangalore yenu GITCH aithepa!

Gubal - A dumb guy
Usage : Le gubal, ashtu goththaagalveno ?

bittako le   - bittako le magane , ella kandeevni

kandeevni       - bittako le magane , ella kandeevni.

kithkondkond hoyeethu - same as hodskonthu hoyeethu.

sakathree jeevana nimdhu - can be used on the fly when reqd. to praise or indirectly screw decently.

yakkuttu hoyeethu-  when something gets jacked, this phrase can be used.

MAMA - used indha same context as "yen maga" but more decent.

Biscuit :-     Very general word can be used differently for different situations.....   Means something like fake or fooling or just pulling one's leg..Example :-   Lo namma teacher ninne nange seryage "biscuit" hakbitru!!

Undds:-  This is used in synonymous to "getting screwed"...Example:-  Nanna project fullu "undds" aythu kano!!

Chachings:-  This is used to give an impression of a person being very hard working in his field. Ex:- Lo maga awanu sakkattu "chachings" kanu...

sikkapatte - nenne thindhindhdhu sikkapatte aayth maga

yakka-chikki - yen maga nenne examalli yakka-chikki iLsdyanthe 

yakka-makka yadva-thadva higga-magga -    All these can be used to tell degree or extent of the event. mukamaare noddhe higga magga chachchudhramma.... 

punga,pungi,pungu - summane suLLu (pung) beda.

soda, Dim : One who's poor in eye sight

Madikolu : One who's very lean. Kuikli, specifically said to describe a thin girl (DO NOT try with a girl!!)

Bucket : One who courts favur expecting benifits.

Chiklet: An outlet where girls ( chicks) hang around.

sketch : idea or plot or scheme

arpu / kurpu : put an indelible cut mark over the body.

Changal hodi : Spend time uselessly

Rasiklala :One whos after figures (Girls)

Gampa: leader of fools

jinga jinga :bright and colorful

atkaisu :eat others head unlimitedly

mitkladi :A girl who shows off more than needed

bendeththu :Screw, torture

kamangi :Honored for topping fools list

ombhattu: eunuch, One born in confusion, whether to be a man or a woman.

jadaisu :Eat anything unlimitedly whether satisfied or not.

nekkiko :Aftermath scene of a fooled person

matash :demolish, destroy

setup :Find a girl or a woman for a ride

petromax: short-term replacement for a  permanent wife.. also called a stepnee

gubal :Fame obtained for foolishness (idiot)

Nayi Thara (like a  dog)----->too much e.g avanu office nalli nayi thara work maduthane.

ADDA : meeting place for like-minded friends.

CHANNAPATNA : Hijadas, eunuch

Thooku : To fail in an examination.

DUMKI : Same as Thooku, flunking in an exam.

CHIPPU : Literally means a shell (like a coconut shell implying useless) To get something unworthy. Eg: "Eno sikkatthe andkondidde, aadre sikkidu, chippu maatra.

CHOMBU (a kind of kitchen vessel): Same as Chippu. To be doomed

Chod : To tell Lies. "Avanu sumne chodthaane kano"

TINNU (from the english word Tin, a metal): Same as Chod. Bogus "Tin katta bedvo", Some other words of the same meaning are, PATTI, REELU.

Line Hodiyodhu : To go behind girls blindly, not with much seriousness rather just for fun.

GAAMAD ;A person who is not intelligent enough in the company.

BATTING : To have Free meals.....like in Marriages, Parties, and treats.

CHANGLU : Group Gossips, like in college associations and others

TIGANE :(Literally means a parasite bug that sucks blood out.) refers to Police men

Tyre : Fat collected around tummy

Dhammu: single puff of a cigarette

chumma : just like that

kalape  : waste

chamak :   stunt

katto baba : forget it 

gung  : (thale harate) unnecesary talk's

Chindi udaisu : Have too much fun and/or making use of all the funny material available around you. (ex: aa team na chindi udaisidhvi maga.)

nenchings One which is used with an entree. Like haappala, sandge, balka..etc etc with saaru anna, huli.

Dabaas, Adaas, scrap -    Waste body, fit for nothing

Shekae -   Literally means sweat, used to address 
someone bugging you 

Gaab -  Same as dakku, Used to say that you are surprised/shocked

Ulteech thago : Give way for or step out of the way 

Bijaaysu : fool around. ' Eno nanna hathrane bijaaysitheeya?'

tharle: very fishy person, very irritating, pain in the butt etc
Goodu - rich in money. Eg: maga, raaghu bejaan goodirabeku, lancer nalle odadthane 

Gaanagalu - to tell someone that his excuses are lame, 
Eg: maga, filmge barake ishta illa antha helibidu, yenikke gaanagalna hadtheeya nam hathra.

Mundaayisu: To cheat someone very badly and get profited. Eg:- 'Magaa, ivatthu naanu ondu dabba walkman 1,000kke maari mundaayisidhe'

chappar : Useless guy

Goodri: A Stupid man.(Ayyo Goodri nan Magane)

KOTI KAYLI KACHHUSKOLODU: GETTING DRUNK.(BA GURU HOGI KOTI KACHHUSKOND BARONA)

NARI: WIND,GAS,FLATUS.(YAR GURU NARI???? EMISSION TESTING MADSKO HOGRI!!)

Ghatu: Cigarette

CHARATA: Chewing Tobacco (like Manikchand, Panparag)

Papplu:  Totally Immature.

PRATHIBE: Good looking Female (Nam area PRATHIBE guru : the best babe of the area!)

Ex: Nodo, maga nanna purse shilpi hodsda...
elli maama, thumbaa dhinadhindha shilpi hodedhu bittidhyaa ? (u have not been seen for a while!)

benne nalli koodhalu: anybody who is very good in talking(gift of gab)
in Kannada slang  we say "avanu benne nalli koodhalu thegithaane" (in english  he will remove a a strand of hair from the butter.. be careful!)

Bejaan - similar to sikkaa patte for example: bejaan majaa banthu, bejaan kirik aaythu guru, exaamu bejaan kashtaa iththu sivaa... 

figure/pigar - Attractive girl.

Magnet - kitta kaige sikkakondre magnet thara antkonthan maga

Japan (kulla) - Noodo japan barthavne

Thirpoki - third class thirpoki avnu avnanna nambeda

Rasik-lala -  Maga budda aadru bal rasiklala kanla

Patti - Nannhatrane patti hoditya nangella gothaite maga

Patti raja- Dove raja- chod rama- Highly recognized liar

Dosu - fear, Eg. Siva, naale result anthe, bejaan doas aagtha idhe

- boldness, (this is probably popular because of Jaggesh) Eg. meter idre, hogi laxmi ge rose kottu baa nodana

(thElu) - flunk in exams, same as thooku. Eg. Java Yenu vodhilla maga, thael hoditheeni antha doas aagtha idhe 

Beesu
- Literally means blow, but in this context means hit someone, used with a prefix of 2 or 4, Eg. Maga, shivuge 2 beesu; pratapange 4 beesde susthaagi hoda 

Gaanchali
- haughty, arrogant Eg. Nimajji, Yeno nin gaanchali ?? 

Pigure
- a beatuful girl, a piece, Character variation of Figure, Eg. Maga, nenne MG Road ge hogidhdhe, entha piguregalu goththa, aha
