It is a pity that some of our own people another Karnataka website) rush to defend such companies, giving the excuse that they are private channels and can do whatever they want, to stay in business. And they call anyone who talk about Kannada as fanatics. 

They have a magic word for everything-Globalization. This word is used as an excuse to suppress the cause of Kannada by giving endless lectures about the need of English, and open up to a new world, new economy, blah blah blah!  Nobody questions the importance of English in today's world, we have to accept it, I know. But should we have a slavish mentality towards it and the MNCs, all in the name of liberalization and globalization? 

While I don't approve of violent actions by some elements who bring a bad name to Kannada activists, what harm is there in protesting decently, like you did in this site? You guys are doing a great work, its nice to visit your site. Thanks.

From a long time, I've been curious to read about Ganapathi Sacchidananda Swami.
One of my friends is a great devotee of this man, and the way he speaks about
the Swami is really interesting. However, I had heard a lot of controversy
surrounding this character, and by reading this article, I got to know that he
is nothing but a common fraud and a thief.

It is really sad that the so-called people in power--politicians and even
police--are after his blessings! The blessings of a thief, a rogue and a crook!
Even though he has so many criminal cases against him, it's surprising that he
has not gone to court even once!

I think the people should be blamed for his popularity. If they stop believing
in his "magic," he will be ruined automatically. Anyhow, thanks for the article, please keep me posted if there is any more news about him.

Comments : I am a regular visitor to your site. I wish to congratulate you on your excellent contents. Unfortunately, the kannada font size used is very small, making it hard to read. One has to strain their eyes to read the content. It would be very helpful if you increase the size of your kannada font, so that it is easier to read and also appealing.

OKC: We are sorry to hear that, but the solution is simple enough. If you are using Internet explorer, please click on "View", then select "Text Size".. now increase or decrease the font size depending on your comfort. There is similar way in Netscape. Remember though, that the font size will be the same, even if you leave the site and surf some other site.

Some of the information which you have given in this article is misleading .you are telling the status of women is equal now in all respects. How we can say that sir? Here can we find any women as a leader for any devotional activities in any religions? Are the women getting the equal wages for equal work? Is there the equal participation of women in Indian politics and law making? And also you are telling that the decline of the women in India starts with the entering Islam. It is a misleading sentence can read & find a lot of books written by great sociologists pointing the women status increased in India by offering the equality for women in property, marriage ,divorce etc in Islam.

Kannadigas in USA have a very few opportunities to watch the Kannada movies in theatre. So Kannada film industry should think over it. Whenever I search for movies in USA in some websites always i end up with either Hindi or Telugu or Tamil movie shows in theatres. There are many Kannada people in USA who want to watch Kannada movies. The movie "Nanna Preetiya Hudugi" showed in Detroit was a success. So please release some more good movies in USA. 

This is one story about Kannada movies in Theatre. There is another story, as Kannadigas get hardly few opportunities to watch movies in theatre, many people rent the video cassettes. But unfortunately Kannadigas seldom get some movies for renting. The vedeo cassettes are of bad quality. That too instead of some super hit good movies most of them are super flop movies. We all miss the good movies of Dr Rajkumar and other great stars. Hindi movies like "Lagaan", "Gadar","Taal", "Mohabbatein" and many other made more money after their release in USA. So Please make those good Kannada movies available for the Kannadigas in USA. This also helps us to keep in touch with kannada film Industry and with Karnataka which we miss a lot.

I think author has forgotten that he is also an Indian when he wrote 'Bharatheeyarige Nanna Dhikkara'!. I don't know why the author failed to look at the positive side of Indians. The wave of change is everywhere in the world and not limited only to India. Being a responsible citizen, one should think of correcting the social evils rather than putting ill comments on them.

Comments : I am unable to view Sanskrit and kannada characters using IE 5.5 and 6 versions as well as Netscape 6. Setting as advised by you for either of the browsers or installing Baraha fonts again (as I am already using Baraha) does not help). This problem is annoying and takes away the pleasure of surfing for information. A suggestion: The rendering of music / voice under Sanchan for devaranama is not of a good or attractive quality; but the effort itself deserves congratulations!
