Just take a look at the following matrices and you would immediately realize gravity of the situation; the matrix shows the seats being given to us in the past and see What we should be getting on the basis of 50-50 rule (50% for the merit students and 50% for the others). We should actually be getting 271 masters seats instead of 123 as well as 214 Diploma seats instead of 114 from private colleges!!!!!

This is in addition to 108 masters and 88 Diploma seats in Govt colleges. If everyone follows the rule, there will be a total of 379 Masters and 302 Diploma seats available for Merit students!!! For the 1st time, top 10 rank students can have MD (RD) in our state!!!! To show the real difference, There will be 40 seats of medicine, 17 seats of paeds, and 15 seats of Ortho available instead of 12, 1, and 1 respectively from private colleges. Of course, these will be in addition to the Govt college seats.
