Chandra Holm

Chandra Holm graduated in Science from the National College, Bangalore, and went on to obtain her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Science, and her doctorate degree from the McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. She has been living for nearly 20 years in Switzerland where she teaches at the Solothurn University of Applied Science in Olten. Chandra has written a book on Dasavatara in German, and has translated, from German into English, a book on the Pahari painter Nain Sukh of Guler. The literature club for Indian literature which she started under the auspices of the Swiss-India Society in Zurich is more than 7 years old. 

About two years ago, she started her website 'Chandra's Bookpage'  on Indian literature., and writes for a couple of e-zines. She is married to a German physicist, and the couple have two boys.
