RICE AND GREEN DAL PAYASAM
Ingredients:
Rice 2 cup, green dal ½ cup, jaggery (grated) ¼ kg,
grated coconut ¾ cup, elaichi powder 1 tsp, ghee ¼ cup
and milk 1 cup.
Method: Fry green dal in a pan and add it to
the boiling water. Later wash rice and add it to the
green dal and boiling water. Cook it on a low flame.
Take out the extra water after it is cooked. Later to
this add grated jaggery, ghee and keep on stirring.
Later add grated coconut and stir well. Cook until done.
Later add milk and elaichi powder and boil for few minutes.
Serve it hot with cashew nuts garnished on it.
