For grinding masala:
1. 1 pod garlic,
2. 1-inch piece cinnamon,
3. 2 tsps. Cumin seeds (jeera),
4. 3-4 cloves,
5. 1tsp. Poppy seeds,
6. 8-10 pepper corns,
7. A small bunch coriander leaves,
8. 2 tsps. Coriander seeds,
9. ½ coconut.
Method:
Grind masala. Clean and cut the chicken into desired
pieces. Smear and mix salt, turmeric powder and chilly
powder with the chicken and keep aside. Fry onions in
ghee or oil till they are slightly brown and then add
tomatoes and chicken pieces. When meat is almost cooked,
add the ground masala and cook till done; then add kachampuli
or squeeze in the lemon juice and remove from fire.
