4.31 O Arjuna, Yogis who enjoy the left-over
nectar after the performance of a sacrifice attain the eternal Brahma. One who
performs no sacrifice, does not fit (is not happy) in this world. How can he be
happy in the heavenly world.

4.32 Many such forms of sacrifice are mentioned
in the Vedic scriptures. Understand that they all involve performing actions.
You will be liberated once you know the sacrifices to be performed.

4.33 O Arjuna (Partha), Offering sacrifice in
knowledge is superior to offering sacrifice of material things. O destroyer of
Enemies (Paranthapa), all kinds of actions come to a definite end by Knowledge.

4.34 This knowledge should be earned by
approaching and accepting a spiritual master. Render services to him, ask
submissive questions with an open and guileless heart and the
self-realized and the holy saint, who is endowed with divine knowledge will
instruct you.

4.35 O Arjuna, after you have attained this
knowledge, you will never feel the illusions like these again. This
enlightenment will make you perceive all living creatures in your soul and in
me.

4.36 Even if you are the biggest sinner amongst
the sinners, this knowledge alone would help you cross over all sins and
miseries.

ashes.

4.38 In this earth, there exists nothing as
pure as the knowledge (enlightenment); he who has attained this purity of heart
through the continuous practice of Karmayoga will automatically attain that
enlightenment in the course of time.

4.39 One who has total faith, is totally

attained this enlightenment, he will then quickly get the "supreme
peace".

4.40 He who is an ignorant fool, one without
faith (in Vedic writings) , and one who is doubtful and uncertain inside is
surely ruined. Because, the doubtful soul is never happy in this world or the
next.

4.41 O Arjuna, actions do not bind someone, who
has renounced the reactions of his actions according to the spirit of Karmayoga,
whose doubts are burnt by the attained knowledge, and who is
self-realized.
