VRL saga & its pathetic bus service | Read the responses to this article.

As you may be aware of, I am operating a parcel service and a bus service in India covering a larger part of Karnataka for over 30 years and currently our fleet strength is over 2500 vehicles.

This was built over a period of 30 years and main aim is to give maximum service to the general public. I am responsible for employing over 10,000 directly and another 25,000 indirectly. My aim is to give maximum employment especially to north Karnataka people since this was not cared by the Karnataka Government.

I can always direct my funds to any other business where the turn over is high and employs lesser no of people. But I do not do this since I personally feel that I should do some thing to the society rather than do something for myself.

I went through the website of yours and was shocked about the way it was given about VRL travels. I like to present my case and request you to think about this once again.

1) Before we started bus service, only few operators were operating in Karnataka and they never use to care for the customer service. Old buses use to run in North Karnataka and the new buses use to operate in cream routes like Madras and Hyderabad.
2) Today VRL operates from almost every city from North Karnataka connecting Bangalore and Bombay.

3) There are only three good body builders in India and one of them is Sutlej and my bodies are built by them. How ever they do have quality problems since they build bodies out of materials available in our
country.
4) It is only VRL, which use to respect ladies and keeps the next to ladies reserved for another lady and if not available runs empty even during season.

5) It is only VRL, which keeps one bus for every 10 as spare in various places as a stand by in case of breakdowns.
6) It is only VRL, which as spent money in free clock rooms for passengers in Karnataka.

7) It is only VRL which operates from many important points of Bangalore and we run on time.
8) Most of the operators give secondary preference to the passengers and concentrates on parcel on buses unlike VRL, which has exclusive buses, and we carry only couriers on buses.

9) It is only VRL, which covers the passengers in addition to the general coverage in vehicle insurance against any injury or theft of belongings for a premium of Rs 5 per journey. I do not say all my buses are best but only trying to convince you that I do my level best in transport industry, which is highly unorganized in India.

It is my request to you give a second thinking to this and remove this material from the site. I also invite you to my facility at Hubli, which is world - class maintenance center for my trucks and Buses.

For VRL Logistics Ltd,

Vijay Shankeshwar
Chairman and Managing Director
